This team within Store N 8 is designing immersive experiences for our customers, developing the role of commerce in virtual worlds.
About the RoleIn this role, the vCommerce Category Manager will define and establish a new process and approach for managing a highly curated product selection within new and emerging virtual world spaces and experiences.
We are building the next generation of the internet and you thrive in ambiguous environments.
You are passionate about topics such as the metaverse and Web3 and understand that we are only at the beginning of what those will become.
This role will report to the head of marketing, product strategy, & partnerships, and play a lead role on a startup team.

8 XR team is seeking a talented vCommerce Category Manager to lead our merchandising strategy within video games and virtual worlds to meet new customers where they spend much of their time.
This key role will allow the right candidate to truly play in a blue ocean space and contribute to building a business from zero to one in an authentic startup environment.
Evolve your skill s by establishing baseline KPIs , developing a cross-category merchandising approach, and working with marketing , product , and finance to test new strategies and hypothesis that optimize for performance.
Success in this role requires displaying a hands-on approach for building out experimentation frameworks that driv e continuous improvement, including optimizing for product selection and pricing varieties to accelerate growth at scale.
You are creative and have demonstrated an ability to identify new product and merchandising tactics.
You love data and are comfortable working with CX designers, engineers, and product managers to get things done.
While leadership sits in Seattle, other locations throughout the US will also be given consideration.
Key job responsibilitieso Drive strategy for all product categories within a diverse portfolio of games and virtual spaces ; suggest ing ways to differentiate traditional offering found in current channels.
o Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency , and cost- effectiveness.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities for partnership.
o Dive de e p into unique gaming mechanics, applying new techniques to drive physical sales.
o Reviews daily, weekly, monthly , and quarterly marketing metrics with Product Marketing and Growth Marketing leads to understand sales impact on ARPU, LTV, and other revenue goal s.
o Build, lead , and monitor A/B and multivariate tests to optimize for conversion and other sales metrics.
o Maintain a thorough understanding of the global games & entertainment market, retail markets, player behavior trends, along with the competitive landscape.
Basic Qualifications o 5
years of merchandising and/or eComm category management experience including working across multiple categories or markets.
o Understanding of common eCommerce and/or gaming unit economics, including CPA, RoAS , LTV, and ARPU.
o Proven analytical skills, comfortable working in data-driven business environments, and ability to solve ambiguous problems.
o Demonstrated ability to discover and articulate business insight, provide well-structured data to support hypothesis, and analyze results.
o Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications o Experience with internal Walmart merchandising tools and systems.
o History of hiring, managing, and training teams in high-performing cultures.
o Masters in Marketing or Business Administration.
o Love playing games or in virtual worlds.

The annual salary range for this position is $119,000.
00-$221,000.
